So What’s Up with the New Hummer?

When the Hummer first came into civilian production I was awed by this tough new vehicle. Nothing else on the road had such a rugged look as this new four wheel drive, tougher than nails, manly man’s Goliath. The truly independent suspension, tires that have built in inflators, standard wheels (which could easily be aftermarket wheels on other trucks) that look like they came off a semi tractor trailer and more tough stuff than you can shake a stick at got my attention right away. And then they topped it off with a deep rich paint job, impeccable fit and finish and a host of luxurious amenities. Awesome job guys!

Then they introduced the H2 hummer. As soon as I saw it, I knew I liked the original better. But I have to admit that the H2 is a pretty tough cookie itself. It is truly a vehicle that has been designed to do some serious off road adventures. Of course most H2 owners will probably never even make it as far as a gravel road, but that’s not the point. And again, right out of the box you get all kinds of luxury vehicle amenities that you won’t find in most trucks or cars.

The final (hopefully final that is) shrinking of this automotive Titan is the H3 Hummer. Come on guys, that’s the best you could do? The first time I saw one I thought it was a Nissan Pathfinder. But upon more review I have decided it resembles a Jeep Liberty more. They took the toughest vehicle on the planet, and proceeded to dumb it down to a wimpy mini truck. I’m not even sure if the H3 is four wheel drive!
